Earlier in the week we’d passed by this little bar located on the Escadinhas de São Cristóvão stairs leading down to Baixa. It looked pretty cool, but it was mid-day and nobody was there.
We decided to go back on Friday evening, and although we were still much too early by Lisbon nightlife standards, things were heating up with some live music on the stairs outside.
Josie doesn’t drink often, but she made up for lost time when served this enormous gin and tonic. My beer is actually quite large for Lisbon as well, being a full pint instead of the normal 20 cL or 30 cL glass.
Later this young blonde girl sat in the little chair outside the door, clapping along to the reggae music.
After two 90 cent shots of ginjinha, we headed off in search of food. This is the view of the bar area from Largo São Cristóvão at the top of the stairs.
